The Van Buren School District established The Teacher's Y Heart Award to recognize employees who display the qualities of having a teacher’s heart in their lives and inspire other district employees through their actions.

• District teachers can be nominated by other district employees or parents.
• One winner will be selected monthly during the school year from those nominated.
• Nominations must be turned in by the 15th of each month in order to be considered for that month's award.
• Nominations will carry forward for the remainder of the school year.
