North Central Accredited, Inclusive Special Education Program, Great Expectations School, Participants in the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart (annually), 4th Grade Presence of the Past Program, and Character Education School.

Great Expectations, Rise and Shine Program, Saxon Phonics, Shurley English, Saxon Math, Math Their Way, Ambassadors, Gold Card Incentive Program, Principal's Roll and Honor Roll, Red Ribbon Anti-Drug Program, Western Arkansas Guidance and Counseling Center Programs, Presence of the Past Program and History of Van Buren, Lightspan, Reading Recovery Behind the Glass, ESL (English as a Second Language) Program, Step-up to Writing, Title I School-Wide Program, Character Education Blue Card Program, ELLA, Migrant Education, and Host School District After-School Program.

Technology:
Two Compass Learning Labs provide 56 student workstations. Fourth grade "Presence of the Past" classrooms are networked and have multi-media, digital photography, printing and scanning capabilities. The Lightspan School to Home Project provides take home instructional technology. A computer is available in each classroom for instructional use. A Smart Board is available for classroom use. A twelve station multi-media lab is located in the media center.
