Izard is also continuing to implement grants that have been awarded through the Educational Foundation. Since the Fall of 2002, Izard has been awarded over $50,000 worth of grants.
Technology:
Izard’s labs have 33 computers. The programs include keyboarding program, internet, and writing software. Compass software is our primary lab software. The students and teachers also have access to the software in the classrooms. The software includes Literacy and Math instruction that advances at the level of the student.
The media center has 12 computers for student use.
Izard has 9 Promethean Boards and 2 Smart Boards.
Second through fourth grade classrooms have four computers for instruction in the room. First grade has three computers and kindergarten has two.
Each student, Kindergarten through fourth grade attends lab for at least 40 minutes a week.
