Kindergarten Registration set for this Friday

The Van Buren School District will host Kindergarten Registration for the 2019-2020 school year this Friday, April 5, 2019, beginning at 8 a.m.  Parents will report to the elementary school in the zone where they  reside. 

Kindergarten students for the 2019-2020 school year must turn five on or before August 1, 2019.  Parents should bring: a copy of their child’s shot record, birth certificate, social security card, proof of address, and proof of a physical exam from a doctor dated within the past two years.

To date Arkansas law requires the following immunizations: 4 DTap & 3 Polio doses, one of which is received after the 4^th birthday; 1 Hepatitis A; 3 Hepatitis B; 2 MMRs, and 2 Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccines received after the 1^st birthday.

All parents who attend Kindergarten Registration will receive a Kindergarten Readiness Bag that will include supplies to work with their child. Parents needing to determine what school their child is zoned to attend can call any elementary school or the VBSD Administration Office at 479-474-7942. Attendance zoning maps are also available online.
