Wheeler wins first place at State History Day Competition

Congratulations to Arkansas History Day Winner, Jenna Wheeler! The Van Buren Senior took home first place at the state competition this past Saturday at the University of Central Arkansas for her documentary on the Kent State Massacre. She will advance to the National History Day Contest, which will be held at the University of Maryland this June. 

Van Buren Seniors Trevor Johnson and Logan Brothers were also recognized at the event. The pair placed third for their group performance on "The Triumphs and Tragedies of Abraham Lincoln." They were also recognized by The Clinton School of Public Service for having the best senior division entry on an American President.
