Van Buren Education Foundation celebrates million dollar milestone

The Van Buren Education Foundation marked its million dollar milestone with a special celebration luncheon and program on May 20. During the ceremony, a total of $20,000 in grants were awarded to Van Buren Schools, including a $3,000 grant to City Heights Elementary School, as well as seven $1,000 grants to other campuses. Tate Elementary School was announced as the recipient of the $10,000 Mega Grant for its "Farm to Fork" initiative. The mega grant was the largest ever awarded by the Foundation and pushed the organization over the $1 million milestone of dollars invested back into the classroom.
