VBSD installs internet access points at schools

The Van Buren School District is keeping kids connected during this school closure with the help of some handy Wi-Fi devices! VBSD's Technology Department is installing access points to provide filtered internet capabilities. Chromebooks distributed by VBSD will automatically log in at each campus. Personal devices will require a teacher or student ID for access. Students who do not know their internet ID can contact their teacher or school to obtain one.

Families can utilize the free Wi-fi safely and conveniently from their vehicle in the school parking lot. Installations have been completed at Van Buren High School and the three grab-and-go meal sites, Central and Tate Elementary Schools, and Northridge Middle School. Work is currently in progress at Butterfield Trail Middle School and the Freshman Academy. The remaining campuses will be equipped with access points next week.
