VBSD Kindergarten Registration to be held on site April 23

Exciting news! Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-22 school year will take place on site at our elementary schools! VBSD Kindergarten Registration will be held Friday, April 23 beginning at 8 a.m. Enrollees will receive a special kindergarten readiness bag, complete with school supplies, books, and more!
All incoming students must enroll at the school in which their residence is zoned. (View VBSD Zoning Map here.) Because of COVID-19 precautions, no tours will be conducted and families will remain in a designated registration area at each campus. Masks will be required on campus and all schools will practice social distancing.
Kindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year must turn five years of age on or before August 1, 2021. Parents must submit the following: a copy of their child’s shot record; birth certificate; social security card; proof of address; and proof of a physical exam from a doctor dated within the past two years.
To date, Arkansas law requires the following immunizations: four DTap and three Polio doses, one of which is received after the child’s fourth birthday; one Hepatitis A, on or after the first birthday; three Hepatitis B; two MMRs, one of which is received after the first birthday, and two Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccines, one of which is received after the first birthday.
Families opting not to attend in-person may also complete the kindergarten registration process online beginning April 23.
