The Van Buren School District Board of Education has been named the Arkansas School Boards Association’s School Board of Excellence in Leadership Award winner for 2025.

This statewide award recognizes school boards that demonstrate strong leadership, effective decision making, and a clear focus on student success. Boards are selected based on their commitment to good governance, planning for the future, and supporting students, staff, and schools.

This is the second time in six years that the Van Buren Board of Education has received this honor, having previously earned the award in 2019.

Such recognition reflects years of steady improvement, student success, and strong leadership. The Board of Education shared that this achievement would not be possible without the dedication of Van Buren’s teachers, administrators, and staff. Their daily work and care for students play an essential role in the district’s success.
