Fifth Grade Camp is a longtime VBSD tradition which serves as a culmination of the elementary school years and helps prepare children for the move to middle school. Students travel to Camp Caudle for a three-day adventure filled with outdoor activities, games, and more. This year, Van Buren elementary schools will host their respective camps as follows:

April 22-24 Tate Elementary

April 29-May 1 Parkview Elementary

May 4-6 King Elementary

May 6-8 Rena Elementary

May 13-15 Central Elementary

May 18-20 Oliver Springs Elementary

Fifth grade camp is provided at no cost to families, ensuring that all students can participate. Generous supporters and school fundraisers have helped make this program possible.

As expenses for this valuable program have continued to increase, so has the need for additional sponsors to support this initiative. For many students, Fifth Grade Camp is the only opportunity they will have to experience outdoor and camp type adventures. In addition to the fun they have and memories they make, students gain valuable skills, including team building, critical thinking, problem solving, and more.
