VBSD Receive ISEP grant

King and Tate Elementary Schools in Van Buren receive ISEP grant
The Van Buren School District received a $2,000 grant from Innovative Solutions for Educational Partnerships for the Learning Gardens at King and Tate Elementary.

Located on campus grounds, the gardens will provide children the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning activities, such as planting and harvesting fruits and vegetables.  King and Tate Elementary are currently two VBSD schools participating in the FoodCorps program, which promotes nutrition education across curriculum. The gardens will further aid in the program’s efforts, which helps introduce children to healthy foods and teaches them about the value of growing their own produce.
