Kindergarten Registration 2024-2025
Welcome, Future Pointers!
VBSD Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year kicked off at our elementary campuses on April 12. Families had the opportunity to meet the staff, tour classrooms, and complete the enrollment process on site. Participants also received a Kindergarten Readiness Bag with books, school supplies, and more!
All incoming students must enroll at the school in which their residence is zoned. (Click here to view the VBSD Attendance Zones.) Please note that Kindergarten Registration must take place in person, as no online registration link will be provided. Families who were unable to attend Kindergarten Registration on April 12 can arrange to enroll on campus during school hours at a later time.
Kindergarten students for the 2024-2025 school year must turn five years of age on or before August 1, 2024. Parents must submit the following: a copy of their child’s shot record; birth certificate; social security card; proof of address; and proof of a physical exam from a doctor dated within the past two years.
To date, Arkansas law requires the following immunizations: four DTap and three Polio doses, one of which is received after the child’s fourth birthday; one Hepatitis A, on or after the first birthday; three Hepatitis B; two MMRs, one of which is received after the first birthday, and two Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccines, one of which is received after the first birthday.
