Van Buren School Choice application goes digital

The Van Buren School District is proud to participate in School Choice for the 2020-2021 school year! Applying has never been easier. The entire application process can now be completed online!
Authorized by the Arkansas General Assembly in Act 609 of 1989, the School Choice Program allows parents the option to apply for their child’s admission to participating school districts outside of the one in which they reside.
Applications are available online and can be completed digitally. Parents can submit completed applications to Deputy Superintendent Brian Summerhill at bsummerhill@vbsd.us. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2020.
Applicants may indicate a school preference, but all assignments will be based on space and program availability. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance or rejection by July 1, 2020. Students who reside out of state or who are currently expelled from school are not eligible for participation. Click here to read more about School Choice Policy.
