Kindergarten Registration 2023-2024

Welcome, Future Pointers! 

VBSD Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-24 school year will take place on-site at VBSD elementary campuses on Friday, April 14. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Families will have the opportunity to complete their paperwork and tour the school. Enrollees will also receive a special kindergarten readiness bag, complete with school supplies, books, and more!

All incoming students must enroll at the school in which their residence is zoned. Families unable to attend Kindergarten Registration may also complete the enrollment process online beginning April 14. (Click here to view the VBSD Attendance Zones.) 

Kindergarten students for the 2023-2024 school year must turn five years of age on or before August 1, 2023. Parents must submit the following: a copy of their child’s shot record; birth certificate; social security card; proof of address; and proof of a physical exam from a doctor dated within the past two years.

To date, Arkansas law requires the following immunizations: four DTap and three Polio doses, one of which is received after the child’s fourth birthday; one Hepatitis A, on or after the first birthday; three Hepatitis B; two MMRs, one of which is received after the first birthday, and two Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccines, one of which is received after the first birthday.
