VBSD to participate in School Choice for 2021-2022

The Van Buren School District is accepting applications to participate in the School Choice Program for the 2021-2022 school year. Authorized by the Arkansas Public School Choice Act of 2015, the School Choice Program allows parents the option to apply for their child’s admission to participating school districts outside of the one in which they reside.
Applications can be obtained by calling the Van Buren School District Administration Building at (479) 474-7942. Parents must complete the required form and return the documents to VBSD. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2021.
Applicants may indicate a school preference, but all assignments will be based on space and program availability. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance or rejection by July 1, 2021. Students who reside out of state or who are currently expelled from school are not eligible for participation. For more information, click here.
